Great Britain will provide Ukraine with $500 million for the purchase of gas

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, following a meeting with British Prime Minister Liz Truss, announced that Great Britain will provide Ukraine with a $500 million tranche for the purchase of natural gas.

"We appreciate Great Britain's willingness to provide our country with the next tranche of $500 million through the World Bank for the purchase of gas. We are also interested in involving British businesses in the development of gas production in Ukraine. We expect that the Government of Great Britain will make the necessary decisions to ensure British business in Ukraine against military risks," said Denys Shmyhal.

One may remind, before that, the Cabinet of Ministers announced the provision of 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas from the USA, as well as monetary support for the purchase of gas for the heating season from Canada and Norway.
