Geosynthesis Engineering acquired American DCI Test Systems' equipment for core analysis

Geosynthesis Engineering LLC has purchased the most modern equipment for the core material analysis manufactured by American DCI Test Systems, the company reported on its website.

The core analysis unit allows modelling of the effect of drilling fluids and inflow stimulation fluids on the reservoir properties of the rocks.

The determined parameters include:

•  core diameter 1.5" (38 mm);
•  liquid and solids pumping lines;
•  pressure up to 1000 atm;
•  temperature up to 200 °C;
•  acid-resistant made of Hastelloy steel;
•  ultra-sensitive Coriolis flow meter manufactured by Emerson Electric;
•  possibility of simultaneous operation with three liquids;
•  special software that allows collecting data automatically.

The purchased equipment allows simulating real pressure drops during drilling, development, and stimulation, both in conditions of abnormally low and abnormally high reservoir pressures.
