Gazprom halves gas supplies through Nord Stream - to 33 mcm

Russia's Gazprom announced a reduction in the maximum volume of natural gas supplies to Europe via Nord Stream starting July 27 to 33 mcm per day.

Due to the end of the time between overhauls before overhaul (in accordance with the instructions of Rostekhnadzor and taking into account the technical condition of the engine), Gazprom stops the operation of another Siemens gas turbine engine at the Portovaya CS.

One may remind that Russia is also delaying the receiving of the previous turbine from repair. As a result of Gazprom's actions, the turbine is stuck in Germany and Russia continues to blackmail Europe by cutting natural gas supplies.

Natural gas futures prices on the Dutch TTF surged on the news by nearly 10% to €175/MWh.
