Gas production in Ukraine in October rose to the highest level since the beginning of the invasion - 1.66 bcm
Gross natural gas production in October 2024 increased by 2.3% year-on-year to 1.663 bcm, according to ExPro calculations. This is the highest monthly production level since January 2022, before the full-scale invasion of Russia. The average daily gross natural gas production in October 2024 amounted to 53.6 mcm, 1.3% more than in September 2024. This is also the highest average daily production since February 2022.
For 10 months of 2024, Ukraine produced almost 15.85 bcm of natural gas, 2% more than in 2023 and 2.7% more than in 2022.
Ukrgasvydobuvannya increased natural gas production by 1.6% to 1.24 bcm in October 2024. Ukrgasvydobuvannya produced 12.1 bcm of natural gas in 10 months of 2024, 5.4% more than in 2023.
Ukrnafta increased its gas production by 4.6% to 96.4 mcm in October 2024. Ukrnafta produced 967 mcm of natural gas in 10 months of 2024, up 7% year-on-year.
Private companies increased gas production by 4.4% year-on-year to 324 mcm. In total, private companies produced 2.75 bcm of natural gas in 10 months of 2024, 12% less than in 2023.
According to ExPro's forecasts, gross natural gas production in Ukraine may increase by 2.2% or 420 mcm to 19.1 bcm in 2024.
