Gas condensate in Ukraine rose in price by 10,000 UAH/t in a week

Prices for gas condensate on the Ukrainian market on Tuesday, August 1 increased to 32,500-39,000 UAH/t (including VAT), as evidenced by ExPro's monitoring of gas condensate prices. During the last week, the prices of liquid hydrocarbons in Ukraine increased by an average of 10,000 UAH/t or by 40%.

So, at the beginning of last week (July 24-25), gas condensate in Ukraine was traded at prices of 24,000-29,200 UAH/t (including VAT). Instead, already on August 1, prices reached the level of UAH 32,500-39,000 UAH/t.

On Tuesday, private companies sold gas condensate at prices of 35,400-38,100 UAH/t, while state-owned companies sold condensate at 32,500-39,000 UAH/t.

It is worth noting that these are the highest prices for gas condensate recorded on the Ukrainian market since the spring of last year when separate agreements for the purchase/sale of liquid hydrocarbons were concluded at prices up to 70,000 UAH/t against the background of high demand for condensate.

At the same time, crude oil prices on the Ukrainian market on August 1 were 32,000-39,000 UAH/t.

According to ExPro calculations, Ukraine produced about 1.08 million tons of oil and gas condensate in the first half of 2023, 2% less than in the same period last year.
