From April 21, Ukraine will stop exporting electricity to Slovakia

From April 21, Ukraine will stop exporting electricity to Slovakia.

The corresponding results are published on the auction platform of the NPC "Ukrenergo".

According to market sources, Ukraine cannot increase electricity exports to the countries of the European Union due to the lack of joint auctions for the distribution of capacity.

Previously, there was an agreement between Ukraine and the EU countries (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary) that the capacity will be allocated using the platform of the single distribution office at the Joint Allocation Office (JAO).

In general, from April 17 to 19, the volume of electricity exported to Slovakia amounted to 14.4 thousand MWh.

Thus, from April 21, Ukraine will be able to export electricity only to Poland (up to 75 MW) and to Moldova (up to 650 MW, but the need is much smaller).
