Foreign companies store 2.2 bcm of gas in Ukrainian gas storage facilities

As of October 6, foreign companies are storing 2.2 bcm of natural gas in Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities. Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, announced this.

In 9 months of 2023, despite the war and potentially associated risks, the client portfolio of non-residents grew to 148 companies.

According to Chernyshov, on the last day alone, the company received 14 applications from non-residents to inject gas into the "customs warehouse" of Ukrainian gas storage facilities.

"Ukraine continues its integration into the energy system of Europe — as a reliable partner and power bank for gas storage in UGS. This shows that the work principles we have developed are transparent and effective," Chernyshov commented.
