For 2021 Smart Energy Group paid over UAH 2 bln in taxes

For 12 months of 2021 the companies of Smart Energy Group paid in total UAH 2.2 bln in taxes. That is nearly twice and a half times more than for the same period last year (UAH 948.0 mln). These payments include UAH 983.2 mln fee for subsoil use to the budgets of all levels. Thus, UAH 49.2 mln of subsoil tax were paid to the local budgets.

Significant increase of tax payments against 2020 is evident by income tax and VAT. They have grown nearly three times. Despite the insignificant decrease of production volumes, the payments of subsoil tax have grown as well (2.3 times more). Their growth is a result of significant increase of gas price in 2021.

“Because of the price factor 2021 was a favourible year for gas production companies. The price enabled significant growth of tax payments by our companies to the state and local budgets. Meanwhile, price growth caused the government initiatives, able to slow down the industry development and, consequently, growth of Ukrainian gas production,” Oleksiy Zayets, FCO of Smart Energy Group, commented.

For the reported period the companies of Smart Energy Group allocated complementarily UAH 6.7 mln for socially important projects of the communities on the territories of which they operate
