Fitch raised the credit rating of Naftogaz to the level of CC
The international rating agency Fitch Ratings raised the credit rating of Naftogaz of Ukraine from the level of RD (limited default) to the level of CC. This was announced by the head of Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The rating increase is primarily related to the restructuring of Eurobond liabilities. In addition, the infrastructure remains operational despite the full-scale war. Naftogaz also works without financial support from the state.
"This will allow us to attract funds on international capital markets on better terms, which will help strengthen Ukrainian energy independence," Chernyshov commented.
