Expert Petroleum responds to NABU investigation into UGV PEC project

Expert Petroleum has issued an official statement regarding the NABU investigation into the PEC project of Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, which could have caused UAH 211 million in losses to the state.

Expert Petroleum notes that, as far as it is aware, no official of Expert Petroleum Ukraine is a suspect and has no procedural status in this criminal proceeding. Also, no official claims have been made against Expert Petroleum in this regard.

Expert Petroleum Ukraine confirms that it has always acted legally and in good faith and is ready to cooperate with the NABU in this proceeding in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

Expert Petroleum said in a statement that the company fulfills all its obligations in accordance with the terms of the contract and the requirements of the law. The company emphasizes that as a European investor, the company continued to operate in Ukraine during the full-scale invasion, saving more than 200 jobs for Ukrainians.

Expert Petroleum Ukraine has invested more than UAH 700 million in the Ukrainian economy. Also, since October 2020, the company has paid over UAH 430 million in taxes to the Ukrainian budget.

As a reminder, law enforcement officers are investigating UGV's PEC project, which caused UAH 211 million in losses.
