The NNEGC Energoatom will operate in 15 units from February 1 to 15, 2022, before and after it the company will operate its 14 units f up to 13700 MW.
This was announced on November 17, 2021, during a meeting of the Energy Committee of the Council by Petro Kotin, head of the NNEGC Energoatom.
"We will work with 15 power units from February 1, 2021, for two weeks. Throughout the last winter, we will work with 14 power units. This is a record production, such has never been. Tomorrow we will have another power unit connected to Zaporizhya NPP (ZNPP), then in the first days of December 2021 we expect another ZNPP unit in the first days of December 2021 [(planned for December 2, 2021, or earlier - ed.]. At the same time, we will withdraw one power unit at the Ribne NPP (RNPP) from November 21, 2021, for reload, which will be reconnected to the grid from February 1, 2022. Then we will have 15 units in operation, "he said.
According to Kotin, from February 15, 2021, there will be 1 NPP unit of RNPP - 440 MW - disconnected, then 1 NPP unit at the Khmelnitskiy NPP (KhNPP) will be disconnected.
"In March 2022, we are gradually starting to shut down, in early March 2022 it will be 12 NPP units in operation, and at the end of March 2022 there will be 11 NPP units," he added.
