Energoatom has connected the ЗА4 ZNPP power unit to the power system

On November 18, 2021, the state-owned NNEGC Energoatom connected Unit 4 of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant to the national grid by 9 days ahead of schedule. As of 17:00 on November 18, 2021, there were 14 out of 15 NPP power units operating in the Integrated Power System of Ukraine.

This was announced on November 18, 2021, by the NNEGC Energoatom’s press center.

“On November 18, 2021, at 4:43 p.m., after the successful completion of the average scheduled repair, Unit №4 of the Zaporizhzhya NPP (ZNPP) was connected to the United Power System of Ukraine. Thanks to the efforts of the nuclear power plant staff, the repair of the unit was completed 9 days earlier than planned, ”the statement reads. According to the NEC Ukrenergo, Unit №4 of the ZNPP is gaining capacity, as of 17:10 214 MW have already been generating electricity for the national grid.

As previously reported by ExPro, the NNEGC Energoatom will operate in 15 NPP units from 1 unil 15 February 2022, and prior and after it – at 14 NPP units at the level of 13700 MW.
