"Energo Zbut Trans" sues the "Gas TSO of Ukraine" in court for UAH 4.5 million

The company "Energo Zbut Trans", which is part of the structure of "Ukrzaliznytsia", sues the "Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine" in court to recover UAH 4.5 million for improper performance of the electricity supply contract. The court opened proceedings in case No. 910/4363/25, the relevant ruling was published in the Unified Register of Court Decisions.

"A statement of claim was received from LLC "Energo Zbut Trans" to the Commercial Court of Kyiv with demands to LLC "Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine" to recover UAH 4,589,833.48, of which UAH 3,868,238.40 - the amount of the principal debt; UAH 70,401.94 - penalty; UAH 514,475.71 - inflation losses; 136,717.43 UAH. interest for the use of funds,” the ruling says.

As stated in the court materials, the plaintiff claims that the defendant has not properly fulfilled the obligations assumed under the contract for the supply of electricity to the consumer dated 05.08.2022, in terms of returning the security payment.

As previously reported in ExPro, the “Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine” is purchasing electricity for 396 million UAH at the Prozorro site. The purchase volume is 55.5 million kWh, the delivery date is until September 2026.
