Electricity for households from April 1, 2021, is likely to remain at 1.68 UAH/kWh – Chairman of NEURC
The tariff rate for household electricity from April 1, 2021, can remain at the current level of 1.68 UAH/kWh. This opinion was voiced on February 15, 2021, by Valerii Tarasiuk, Chairman of the National Energy and Utilities Regulation Commission (NEURC).
"It is quite possible, it is very likely that the CMU’s Resolution [Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the imposition of public special obligations in electricity market "- Ed.] will be extended in force without any change, and therefore nothing will happen in terms of electricity bills for Ukrainian households, but now it's too premature to talk about it now," said NEURC’s Chairman Tarasiuk.
ExPro Reference: For Q1 of 2021 the government adopted a draft version of the resolution on imposing public special obligations in the Ukrainian electricity market, according to which the price for household electricity is set at the same level of 1.68 UAH/kWh (excl. daily zone metering), as temporary valid until April 1, 2021.
