During this year's heating season, 5.57 bcm of gas were withdrawn from UGS
During the withdrawal season, which began on November 7, 2022, 5.572 bcm of natural gas were withdrawn from Ukrainian UGS. As of the beginning of the gas injection season, more than 9 bcm of gas is stored in UGS, according to ExPro calculations. Compared to last year, approximately 125 mcm more gas is stored in UGS. Storagies are 29.2% full.
According to the head of Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov, this year's withdrawal season was shorter compared to previous years. This is due to favorable weather conditions and a relatively warm winter.
The head of Ukrtransgaz, Roman Malyutin, noted that during the 2022-2023 heating season, even despite the full-scale invasion of Russia, Ukrainian undergrounds worked without interruption.
