DTEK plans to import 2 mil ton of antracite this year
The DTEK Energo plans to import 2 mil ton of antracite this year, as was reported on July 11, 2018, by DTEK Energo’s General Director Dmytro Sakharchuk.
“We plan to import 2 mil ton of antracite coal, and the 1 mill ton to 1.1 mil ton out of the planned imports will be for Luganska TPP(depending on their operation loads), and the remaining amount will be directed to Krivorizka TPP”, said Mr. Sakharchuk. He also added that DTEK is doing their bests to secure their TPPs with domestically mined coals.
As of now, about half of the planned imports, or nearly one mil ton of antracite, has been delivered into Ukraine.
“We are totally balanced by our own mined outputs in gas coals. We do not need to buy coal produced by the state-owned mines”, said Mr. Sakharchuk. He also noted, that supplies from the state-owned mines is feasible under optimization of logistics costs by Tsentrenergo company. Mr. Sakharchuk also noted, that DTEK expects to mine over 24 mil ton of coal at their own mines.
