DTEK plans in 3-4 years to retrofit its TPPs’s electrical precipitators
Within the upcoming 3-4 years, DTEK plans to invest into improvement of environmental safety of their thermal power plants by installing new electrical precipitators to considerably decrease fly-polutants and hazardous emissions at their plants, as reported by Mr. Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK.
The issues of Pridniprovska TPP are being addressed. This year we will accomplish reconstruction of two energy generation units [ retrofits for switching from antracite to gas coals burning- Ed.], and will install one electrical filter at the second energy unit in addition to the one already installed on the first energy unit. Will will accomplish all retrofits at Pridniprovska TPP within the nest 2 years. The other TPPs will be reconstructed within 3-4 years”, said Mr. Timchenko.
