DTEK Oil&Gas has signed an agreement with STRYDE to purchase a seismic system for oil and gas exploration

Ukraine's largest private gas producer DTEK Oil&Gas has signed an agreement with international company STRYDE to purchase 30,000 STRYDE nodes and the Nimble System for 2D and 3D seismic surveys in Ukraine.

As part of the new contract, STRYDE will provide a portable and flexible node system for seismic exploration to DTEK Oil&Gas, which will ensure cost-effective operations and accelerate project implementation.

With over 685 000 nodes delivered to the market in just three years, this sale is another crucial milestone in the solidification of STRYDE as the current market-leading provider of nodal seismic sensors by volume," commented STRYDE CEO Mike Popham.

"Ukraine has one of the greatest hydrocarbon resource potentials in Europe. To unlock it, DTEK is constantly exploring and developing deep and ultradeep targets with a focus on combined and non-structural traps. With most of the large fields in Europe already depleted and an ever-growing energy demand, the key to future production growth is advanced technologies that can rapidly identify new hydrocarbon opportunities, such as seismic nodes," said Ivan Gafych, Director of Exploration and Advanced Development at DTEK Oil&Gas.

DTEK Oil&Gas seismic team has already been trained on the STRYDE seismic survey system at the company's facility in Norway. Given that the system is ready to be assembled, DTEK notes that it is ready to start work in two weeks from the date of signing the contract.
