DTEK drills its first oil well

DTEK Naftogaz is drilling its first oil well at one of the fields in the Poltava region. This was announced by DTEK General Director Maksym Timchenko during a press conference on October 11.

In total, according to the results of 2023, the company plans to drill 9 wells, three times more than in 2022 - 3 wells.

DTEK has also completed the construction of an oil and gas processing facility, which, according to the company, uses the latest technologies and applies the highest global environmental standards.

DTEK plans to start refining oil and transition from a production company to a vertically integrated model.

According to ExPro, the company's main production products in previous years were natural gas and gas condensate. Oil remained a by-product. According to ExPro data, in 2021, DTEK discharged about 96,500 tons of oil and gas condensate.
