DTEK added another TPP power unit to the power system after repair

DTEK Energo connected a power unit at one of the TPPs to the power system after scheduled repairs. This was reported in the press service of the company.

"This will make it possible to strengthen the reliability of the Ukrainian energy system with additional up to 80 MW of balancing capacity," DTEK said.

According to DTEK, since the beginning of the year, energy companies have already repaired 17 out of 19 power units planned before the start of the heating season. Thus, to date, 90% of the planned repair campaign for the beginning of the heating season has already been implemented. According to the schedule, 2 more energy units are planned to be added to the power system in the coming days. The company's investments in planned repairs in January-September this year amounted to UAH 2.8 billion, and according to the results of 2023, they are planned to increase to UAH 3.9 billion.

"The electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is fully sufficient to meet the needs of consumers," the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine assured on October 17.
