Despite the war, UGV drilled 47 new rigs in 2022

Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (part of Naftogaz of Ukraine) drilled 47 new rigs in 2022, Naftogaz Chairman Oleksiy Chernyshov said.

Despite the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and the occupation of part of the Ukrainian territory, the company continues to drill new wells and extract natural gas from already drilled ones. "We came as close as possible to the pre-war indicators, even though the infrastructure of Ukrgazvydobuvannya was repeatedly attacked by the enemy," Chernyshov noted.

According to him, the reduction of production is observed in the east of Ukraine. At the same time, production rates are increasing in the west.

In October 2022, Ukrburgaz, the drilling division of the Ukrgazvydobuvannya, set a new record for monthly drilling penetration - 30,505 m.
