Cherkasygaz joins Naftogaz

Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC has started the planned integration of Cherkasygaz JSC into the composition of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC, which operates under the Gazmerezhi brand. This was reported by the company's press service.

"The goal of the corporate changes is to establish the efficient operation of the gas distribution system of the Cherkasy region to strengthen the power of the country's energy sector," the company notes.

The restart of the enterprise will begin with the preparation of the region's critical infrastructure for the 2023/2024 heating season.

Gazmerezhi notes that in addition to the modernization of technical processes, the priority is compliance with all financial obligations to partners and the improvement of customer service.

One may remind that in order to stabilize the energy sector, the Government instructed Naftogaz Group to manage the stakes in a number of regional and city gas distribution companies. This is regulated by the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 28, 2022, No. 429-r "Some issues of asset management, which have been seized in criminal proceedings, in exceptional cases."
