Centerenergo will import 1.5 million tons of coal from the United States, Kazakhstan, Poland and Australia

The state-owned Centerenergo has contracted 1.5 million tons of coal for the autumn-winter period. Deliveries will be made by rail from Kazakhstan and Poland, by sea - from the United States and Australia.

This was reported on November 16 in Centerenergo.

"As of today (ed. - 16.11.2021) the company has contracted 1.5 million tons of coal, which will compensate for the lack of resources from state mines. Imports are made by rail and sea. As for the railway, it is Kazakhstan (663 thousand tons contracted) and Poland (300 thousand tons). The rest of the coal goes by sea from the United States and Australia, "Centerenergo said.

According to the generating company, 60.5 thousand tons of coal are expected to be delivered from the United States on November 19.

Centerenergo stressed that the contracted amount of coal is sufficient for a stable heating season.
