Canada will allocate more than UAH 12 billion to Ukraine for the purchase of gas for the winter

Canada will provide Ukraine with 450 million Canadian dollars (about UAH 12.7 billion) in aid for the purchase of gas. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this.

"Another step of solidarity from friendly Canada. Ukraine will receive 450 million Canadian dollars in aid for the purchase of gas before the heating season," Shmyhal said.

One may remind that the deputies did not include an amendment in the 2022 state budget, according to which Naftogaz will be able to receive additional money for the purchase of gas for the heating season.

Vitrenko said that the company is unlikely to be able to fulfill the Government's task and accumulate more than 19 bcm of gas in storage before the beginning of the heating season.
