Canada imposed new sanctions against Russia's petrochemical industry

Canada has imposed new sanctions on Russia's oil, gas and chemical industries, the country's foreign ministry said.

The ban will cover 28 types of services for these industries, including technical, management, accounting and advertising services.

Prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Calfrac remained the largest Canadian oil service company in the Russian market, declaring its withdrawal shortly after the start of the war. The company specializes in the development of hard-to-reach deposits by fracturing and is considered a leader in this field.
