Astarta offers their import gas surplus at UAH 11,000 per 1,000 m3

Astarta agro-industrial holding offers gas surplus which is channeled from the EU hubs. This was reported to EXPRO by Roman Kravets in charge of gas procurement at Astarta–Kyiv. This week the company has made proposals to their partners offfering to buy gas surplus at UAH 11,000 per 1,000 m3.

According to information obtained by EXPRO, two company of this agro-industrial holding, Investpromgas and Agropromgas, have made reservations in the national pipeline gas transportation system for 15 MMm3 of natural gas being supplied from Hungary over September-December of 2018. The EU seller at the boarder is AXPO TRADING gas trading company. The first gas batch of 1.14 MMm3 was customs cleared late October 2018 at the price of $352.17 per 1,000 m3.

“This is the second transaction in gas imports made by Astarta. The first one was done by our company in January 2018 while importing 5.3 MMm3 of natural gas from Slovakia. During this year we have been buying gas at the Ukrainian market to make our gas stock reserves in the national underground gas storage for our future sugar production. For this purpose we have bought gas from international traders and domestic gas producers. It happened that we have hedged a certain surplus in natural gas imports, which we want to dispose of”, said Mr. Kravets.
