As a result of enemy Russian shelling, the Olyshiv UGS in Chernihiv Region was damaged

As a result of enemy Russian shelling, the Olyshiv Underground Gas Storage (UGS) in Chernihiv Region was damaged. This was reported by the press service of the JSC Ukrtransgaz (UTG). "Today, at about 9 a.m., a shell hit the building on the territory of the Ukrainian UGS during the shelling of the village of Olyshivka (Chernihiv region) by the Russian occupation forces. The methanol pumping station on the site of the gas collection point was damaged, ”the statement reads.

According to the UTG, the gas storage staff was evacuated immediately. Gas was cut off from the gas collection site. All external flowlines were disabled. There were no victims among the employees of Olyshivsky UGS. Currently, the planned periodic maintenance is ongoing at the facility.
