2025 will be productive for wind power in Ukraine - Konechenkov
2025 will be productive for the Ukrainian wind power sector, several contracts for the supply of equipment have already been concluded. This was indicated by the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association Andriy Konechenkov during his speech at the event “Integration of RES into the Energy System of Ukraine”, which was organized by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine together with ExPro Consulting.
“More than 80 MW - Wind farms of Ukraine, 40 MW - Sokalska WPP “Eco-Optima”, 386 MW - active work has begun at the Tyligulska WPP. And we are waiting for Galnaftogaz. Also, we have many projects that have received construction permits,” - summed up Andriy Konechenkov.
As Konechenkov noted, currently the interest of investors, primarily European ones, in Ukrainian wind energy projects is quite high.
“We have started to actively move forward with the process regarding the price guarantee fund. It seems that this fund may start working by the end of the year,” Konechenkov said.
This will allow us to attract loans from banks, and the fund will be guaranteed by the EBRD.
“However, we have completely blocked the possibility of land issues, the transfer of land to energy lands. A sufficiently detailed plan has not been developed,” Konechenkov noted.
As the Head of the UWEA noted, the issue of exemption from VAT when importing wind energy equipment remains unresolved.
