13% of the electricity sold at DAM/IDM in January was generated from RES

13% of all electricity sold on the day-ahead and intraday market in January 2023 was produced from renewable energy sources. The relevant report was published by "Market Operator".

"The share of coal-produced electricity sold in the DAM/IDM last month was 15.99%, from hydropower - 11.10%, from wind energy - 5.40%, from solar energy - 4.48%, from fuel oil - 2.45%, biogas - 1.90%, from biomass - 1.27%", - reports in "Market Operator".

The largest market share was occupied by electricity produced at nuclear power plants - 31.05%, in second place - electricity produced from natural gas (22.91%). In general, in January 2023, 2,093,367.9 MWh were realized at DAM/IDM, which is 27% more than the figures of the previous month.

Also, in January 2023, 641.8 MWh of imported electricity was sold on short-term segments, which is 1% of all imports.

According to ExPro data, in January Ukraine imported electricity only in one direction - Slovakia. The total volume of supply is almost 62.5 thousand MWh. The largest importer is "D.Trading"
