Yuriy Vlasenko and Ruslan Slobodian are new members of the NEURC

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Ruslan Slobodian and Yuriy Vlasenko to the positions of members of the NEURC. The relevant orders of July 30, 2024 are published on the Government portal.

"The NEURC welcomes the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to appoint Yuriy Vlasenko and Ruslan Slobodyan as members of the NEURC. New members of the Regulator were selected based on the results of competitive selection as those who received a higher rating and passed a special inspection. NEURC will continue to work to ensure the balance of the interests of the state, consumers and energy market participants, with the aim of establishing conditions for the sustainable functioning of the energy sector, implementing European reforms in the industry, rebuilding the energy infrastructure, strengthening the stability and flexibility of the energy system of Ukraine," the Energy Regulator commented .

New members of the Commission are appointed for a term of 6 years.

Earlier, the competition commission submitted 3 candidacies for the vacant positions of members of the NEURC - Yuriy Vlasenko, Maksym Nemchynov, Ruslan Slobodian. Maksym Nemchynov has received suspicion from NABU in the case of fraud with coal for state-owned coal-fired power plants.
