Zelenskyy announces energy “Ramstein” meeting in France with participation of G7, US and EU

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the holding of international meetings in the format of an energy “Ramstein,” which will take place this week in France.

According to the president, ahead of the event he received a briefing on the preparations from Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal. The negotiations will focus on forming concrete support packages for Ukraine’s energy sector.

Representatives of the Group of Seven countries, Nordic and Baltic states, as well as ministers from the United States, Canada, and European Union countries will participate in the meetings.

The president noted that during recent talks with partners on the sidelines of the Munich Conference, support for Ukraine’s energy sector was already discussed, and the agreements reached must now be implemented.

In addition, Ukraine continues working to accelerate the delivery of air defense systems, which remains one of the key priorities for protecting energy infrastructure.

The energy “Ramstein” format provides coordination of international assistance to restore and protect Ukraine’s power system amid ongoing Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.
