Ukrgasvydobuvannya saved UAH 340 million on two tenders for the purchase of the pipe

The largest state-owned gas producing company Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV) plans to purchase almost 54 thousand tons of casing and tubing from Interpipe Niko Tube Plant. This is evidenced by the preliminary results of online auctions held in the ProZorro system on November 17-18.

One of the above tenders for the purchase of 25,526 tons of tubing, landing joints, and tubing adapters in the assortment was announced on September 14, 2021

The starting price of nine lots at two auctions was UAH 4.92 billion, while during the auction the seller reduced the price to UAH 4.582 billion. Thus, Ukrgasvydobuvannya's savings at this tender amounted to UAH 338 million, or about USD 13 million.

The second bidder - Naftoservice LLC - offered UAH 4.87 billion for its products. Thus, the potential savings of UGV would amount to only UAH 50 million or USD 1.9 million.

Documents for participation in the auction were also submitted by the Russian TMK-Kaztrubprom LLC (Kazakhstan), Mertex UK Limited (Great Britain), and Tenaris Global Services SA (Luxembourg), but these companies were disqualified due to the provision of an incomplete package of documents. Moreover, the Russians were unable to provide a tender bond for the auction.

Recall that last month UGV purchased from Tenaris Global Services SA 2,300 tons with a total value of UAH 192.2 million.
