Ukraine resumed electricity exports to Poland

Since May 8, Ukraine has resumed electricity exports to Poland. This is evidenced by data from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.

As previously reported, Ukraine has not exported electricity to Poland since May 1.

In the Ukrainian system operator NPC "Ukrenergo" this was explained by the lack of demand in the neighboring country.

According to the auction platform of NPC "Ukrenergo", the proposed capacity for "evening peak" hours has been reduced to 0 MW, for other hours - 75 MW. Only one company - "DTEK Zahidenergo" buys the crossing. In general, the planned export volume to Poland on May 8 is 1,225 MWh, which is almost at the same level as the volume of supply to Moldova for that day (1,201 MWh).

According to ExPro, the import of electricity increased over the weekend (May 6-7). During this period, 336 MWh were supplied from Moldova and 983 MWh from Slovakia.

The total volume of electricity import from the beginning of May (May 1-7) is 2 thousand MWh, export - 12.2 thousand MWh.
