UGV could save UAH 240 million on purchase of pipes for gas production

The largest state-run natural gas production company JSC UkrGasVydobuvannya (UGV) plans to purchase more than 25 500 ton of production tubings from the Interpipe Niko Tube, according to preliminary results of the online auction on the Prozorro e-procurement portal which took place on November 17.

The starting price of the three lots amounted to UAH 2.533 billion, while during the auction the seller reduced the price to UAH 2. 293 billion Thus, the UGV’s savings in this tender amounted to UAH 240 million. or $ 9 million.

The second bidder - Naftoservice LLC - offered UAH 2.501 billion for its products. Thus, a potential savings for the UGV under the tender would be only UAH 32 million. or just over $ 1 million.

Mertex UK Limited (UK) and Tenaris Global Services SA (Luxembourg) also applied for the auction, but were disqualified because of incomplete package of bid documents submitted.
