UGV and geological enterprises of Derzhheonadra will cooperate to build up the resource base

Ukrgasvydobuvannya (UGV) appealed to the State Service for Geology and Subsoil (Derzhheonadra) with a proposal to cooperate with the relevant enterprises of the Derzhheonadra in order to determine the most promising areas and increase the resource base of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC, the press service of Derzhheonadra reports.

For these reasons, the head of the Derzhheonadra Roman Opimakh held a working meeting with the management of the UGV, as well as with representatives of state geological enterprises: Ukrgeofizika, UkrDGRI, Nadra of Ukraine, the agency noted.

During the meeting, the head of the Department of exploration and production of UGV Oleksandr Romanyuk, said that the company will also apply to the National Academy of Sciences and scientific institutions that have the appropriate base of geological knowledge. And since most of the UGV fields are at the final stage of development. The company is developing a strategy for increasing the resource base, which prevents a drop in hydrocarbon production at “brown” depleted fields and allows for an increase in new areas.

“We have already prepared an update of our field development plans, optimized the technological process as much as possible, and plan to prepare the company for an IPO in the next few years, maximize the transfer of revenue from the company to the state,” Oleksandr Romanyuk said.
