The government approved the candidacies of independent members of the supervisory board of NPC Ukrenergo
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the candidacies of the winners of the selection for the positions of independent members of the supervisory board of the transmission system operator NPC Ukrenergo. The corresponding order was adopted on November 26, ExPro reports.
“To approve the candidacies of the winners of the selection for the positions of members of the supervisory board of the private joint-stock company “National Power Company “Ukrenergo” Graichen Patrick Roland, De Francisci Luigi, Kofod Jeppe Sebastian, Montell Jan Henrik as independent members,” the order says.
Approved candidacies:
- Patrick Graichen, headed the German analytical centre Agora Energiewende, was State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in Germany in 2021-2023.
- Luigi de Francisci, previously served on the Ukrenergo Supervisory Board, former top manager of the Italian energy company Terna.
- Jeppe Kofod, Danish politician, was Deputy Head of the Delegation for Relations with the United States and a member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. He is also a former Member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, he visited Ukraine three times during Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
- Jan Montell, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nord Pool AS and Fingrid Datahub Oy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Skarta Energy.
As previously reported in ExPro, in October 2024, a competition was announced for the positions of three independent members of the Ukrenergo Supervisory Board. The fourth independent member was elected in parallel according to a previously launched similar transparent procedure.
