The first pilot "green" auction will be held already this week

Already this week, on Thursday, October 31, the first pilot "green" auction will be held for the distribution of the support quota for the construction of new capacity from alternative energy sources.

Quota for - 11 MW of SPP. The maximum price offer is 9 eurocents for 1 kWh. Location of objects - the territory on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

The auction will be held on October 31, 2024. Applications and documents must be submitted by participants by 20:00 on October 30, 2024. Auctions will take place on the basis of Prozorro Sales.

The authorized platforms include the National Electronic Exchange, the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, the Bukovyna Universal Exchange, the Ukrainian Universal Exchange and Smarttender.

As Olha Savchenko, a partner of the ALTELAW Law Company, pointed out, especially for ExPro Electricity, access to participation in the auction is granted only to new future generation facilities, which makes it impossible to switch to the auction model of supporting existing producers at a "green" tariff or at a market premium.

To participate in the auction, the participant must submit a statement in the prescribed form on the website of the site operator through the personal account of the site operator, specifying the volumes (no more than 80% of the total amount of capacity offered by all auction participants, excluding, in the case of a closed auction, the volume offered by the participants, that submitted incomplete or inaccurate information) and cost (euro per 1 kWh), to which are added:

- a bank guarantee provided by the category of banks defined by Order No. 1175 in the amount of EUR 5,000.00 per 1 MW;

- information about beneficiaries, or their absence, controllers and related persons;

- copies of documents containing information about the governing body (for example, protocol/order);

- other information, if its provision is provided by the specifics of the auction requirements.
