The 4th anniversary of natural gas imports from Slovakia
It was on September 2, 2014, when Ukraine started a large scale imports of natural gas from EU in the reverse mode through Slovakia. At that time, the Voyany-Uzhgorod pipeline was commissioned to enable this vital gas supply to Ukraine. Nowadays, it is the main route of natural gas supplies from EU, as pumping the two-thirds of Ukraine’s annual natural gas imports.
In total, 36.5 bil cbm of natural gas have been pumped through Slovakia into Ukraine over the last four years.
