Piryatinskiy Delikates LLC outpaced Naftogaz as one of the ten largest natural gas importers in April

Since the beginning of April 2020 the Piryatinskiy Delikates LLC (SmaCom) imported 9.4 million cubic meters of natural gas. During April 1-20, 2020, the company became one of the ten largest natural gas importers in Ukraine, having outpaced Naftogaz of Ukraine.

According to ExPro estimates, natural gas consumption by the Piryatinskiy Delikates LLC (SmaCom) is about 4 tcm - 6 tcm a month. Since March 2020 the company started importing natural gas, importing almost 20 million cubic meters in March-April 2020.

According to data obtained by ExPro, the company was buying natural gas at the border of Ukraine from the SGAS, a company registered in Slovakia with Yuri Polishchuk as its beneficiary .

The SGAS is engaged in imports of natural gas into Ukraine. In 2020 among its customers were two companies: the Piryatinskiy Delikates LLC (SmaCom) and the GasComTrade LLC . In 2019 the SGAS supplied natural gas to the Special Gaz Energy LLC, and in 2018 to Inter Gas Trading LLC.

The GasComTrade LLC became a major supplier of natural gas in Ukraine, having imported since the beginning of 2020 almost 90 million cubic meters of gas, and also customs cleared 11.5 million cubic meters of gas from the customs bonded warehouse. In 2019 the GasComTrade LLC imported about 180 million cubic meters of natural gas, most of which was purchased from the Colombanier Analytics.

In November 2019 media reported that the Chief Investigation Department of the National Police together with the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine conducted investigations of smuggling of natural gas into Ukraine. The investigators determined that the Trader Gas LLC imported 171 million cubic meters of gas in 2019, but customs cleared only 40 million cubic meters of gas. In the criminal case of gas smuggling by the Trader Gas LLC the investigators mentioned the GasComTrade LLC.

In particular, during the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings No. 42020170000000017 of the Kiev District Court of Poltava Case No. 552/631 / it was previously established that the officials of the Piryatinskiy Delikates LLC (SmaCom) attempted tax frauds of UAH 935 000 in VAT returns embezzled with fabricated contracts.
