Norwegians to Build Two Wind Farms in Rivne Region
Norwegian company Fenix Repower plans to construct two wind power plants in Rivne region, Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the Rivne Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Koval.
“It is expected that the wind farms will consist of 9–12 turbines, each with a capacity of 7 MW. Amid constant enemy attacks, installing wind power plants is one of the steps towards energy independence for the region. During the meeting, we agreed with the company's representatives on maximum support for the implementation of this project,” Koval emphasized.
Why is this important for the region?
Koval underlined that, under conditions of ongoing hostile attacks, wind power is a key solution for strengthening regional energy security. The regional government will provide full support for the project's implementation.

Recently, Fenix Repower was selected by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) as one of the companies to receive support for investment in Ukraine.
