Nordex to receive a new order for a 70 MW wind farm in Serbia

The wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has received a new order for the supply and installation of equipment for the Jasikovo wind power plant in Serbia with a total capacity of 70 MW.

The project предусматриває the installation of 11 N175/6.X turbines, each with a capacity of up to 7 MW. The turbines will be installed on 119-metre steel towers. The contract also includes long-term service maintenance – a 30-year Premium Service agreement with an option to extend it for an additional five years.

The Jasikovo wind farm is located in the Serbian Carpathian Mountains, approximately 175 km from Belgrade. The project area is characterised by favourable wind conditions – the average wind speed at hub height is about 8 m/s.

A specific feature of this project will be the use of Nordex’s Anti-Icing system, which ensures efficient operation of the turbines under challenging climatic conditions. This is the first time this technology will be used in the company’s turbines in Serbia.

Installation is scheduled to begin in April 2027, while the first electricity generation is expected already in July 2027. After commissioning, the wind farm will produce more than 270 GWh of electricity annually.
