Moldova has started re-exporting gas from Ukrainian UGS

From the beginning of January 2023, Moldova started importing natural gas from the "custom warehouse" of the Ukrainian UGS, where it injected it during the past year. This is evidenced by the data of GTS Operator of Ukraine LLC.

Thus, in the first days of January, the re-export of gas from UGS amounted to 1.4-2.9 mcm per day. According to ExPro, the export is carried out by the Moldovan state company Energocom, which during January plans to supply Moldova with more than 50 mcm of natural gas from Ukrainian UGS.

According to ExPro calculations, by the end of 2022, the Energocom company stored about 180 mcm of natural gas in Ukrainian storage facilities as a reserve for the heating season. In total, in 2022, almost 110 mcm of natural gas was imported from Moldova to the "custom warehouse" of Ukrainian UGS.
