In March 2026, Ukraine reduced electricity imports by 25% – to 942 thousand MWh. This is evidenced by ExPro Electricity monitoring data.
Hungary continues to hold the largest share in imports – 48%, followed by Romania with 20%. Compared to March 2025, electricity imports to Ukraine increased 3.4 times.
Also, in March 2026, Ukraine resumed electricity exports after a several-month break. In total, 30.2 thousand MWh were exported during the month – most of it to Moldova (47.5%). Compared to March 2025, exports decreased by 61%.
