In June, Ukraine almost doubled its electricity imports
In June 2024, Ukraine imported 858.3 thousand MWh of electricity, which is 91% more than the volume of the previous month (May 2024). There was no electricity export in June, according to ExPro Electricity monitoring data.
The largest share in the structure of imports will continue to be occupied by Hungary - 41.6%, the smallest - by Moldova with 7.7%. In June, the import of electricity from Poland increased the most, compared to the previous month, by 2.4 times - to more than 138 thousand MWh.
On average, 28.6 thousand MW*h were imported per day. The peak of supplies was on June 15 – 35.6 thousand MW*h.
As previously reported in ExPro, in May 2024, Ukraine imported 448,000 MW*h. According to ExPro Electricity Monthly, the average import price in May reached $127/MW*h. D.Trading, EСU, ERU Trading, Euromin Energy, and Dniprostal-Energo were among the TOP-5 importers in May.
