In June 2025, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 2.5 times, compared to the previous month - to over 237 thousand MWh, according to the ExPro Electricity monitoring.

During the month, exports to Hungary increased the most - from 34 to 122 thousand MWh. In general, supplies increased in all directions.

In June 2024, there were no electricity exports. Electricity imports increased by 5%, compared to May, - to 203.8 thousand MWh.

Supplies increased from Hungary and Slovakia, in other directions (Poland, Romania, Moldova) - decreased.

Compared to June 2024, electricity imports decreased by more than 4 times. As previously reported in ExPro, in June last year there was a record import (858 thousand MWh), which was due to the need for additional resources against the backdrop of devastating shelling.

Thus, according to the results of June 2025, Ukraine is a net exporter, for the first time since October 2023.

In general, electricity exports returned to the level of autumn 2022, before the start of full-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
