"Guaranteed buyer" sues "Ukrenergo" in court for UAH 6.5 billion
The state-owned enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" is suing PJSC NPC "Ukrenergo" in court for the recovery of UAH 6.5 billion in debt for the payment of RES Services. The court accepted the statement of claim for consideration and opened proceedings, the relevant decision was published in the Unified Register of Court Decisions.
"On September 18, 2024, the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv received a claim from SE "Guaranteed Buyer" against PJSC NPC "Ukrenergo" for recovery of UAH 6,514,079,768.46," the decision reads.
As stated in the court documents, the claims consist of: UAH 5.8 billion of the total amount of debt for payment for services to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources for September-November 2022, March-June 2023, and October-November 2023 year; UAH 284.9 million 3% annual and UAH 418.8 million inflationary losses.
As previously reported in ExPro, as of September 1, 2024, the level of payment by the "Guaranteed Buyer" under the "green" tariff for 2021 is 99.7%, for 2022 - 61.2%, for 2023 - 90 .5%, in 2024 – 63.4%. The debt of "Ukrenergo" for the RES Service reached UAH 28.44 billion.
