Greek company to supply U.S. LNG to Ukraine in March
Greek joint venture Atlantic See LNG Trade has signed its first agreement to supply LNG from the United States to Ukraine, with delivery scheduled for March 2026. The agreement was signed on January 30, 2026.
According to the company, an LNG tanker from the U.S. will arrive at the Revithoussa LNG terminal in Greece, after which the gas will be delivered to Naftogaz of Ukraine via pipeline routes through Bulgaria, Romania, and Moldova. The supply is planned for March 2026.
The maximum supply volume may reach up to 100 mcm, depending on the available capacities of the gas transmission system operators involved along the transportation route.
“The agreement signed on January 30 marks the beginning of a new phase for Atlantic See LNG Trade and for Greece’s role on the European energy map. With the delivery of the first U.S. LNG cargo in March, we are moving from planning to practice, commercially utilizing the infrastructure of the Vertical Corridor, enhancing interconnectivity and diversification of supply sources across the wider region. Greece is becoming a gateway for the entry and transit of U.S. LNG to Southeast and Central Europe, actively contributing to Europe’s energy security and resilience, while also supporting Ukraine at a critical moment,” said Konstantinos Xifaras, President of Atlantic See LNG Trade and CEO of DEPA Commercial.
Atlantic See LNG Trade is a joint venture between the Greek Aktor Group and state-owned gas supplier DEPA Commercial. The company noted that this agreement is the first LNG supply contract to Ukraine.
For reference, Naftogaz signed a Memorandum on November 7, 2025, regarding the import of U.S. LNG to Ukraine via Greece.
Earlier, the new Greek company Atlantic SEE LNG signed a long-term agreement with U.S. LNG producer Venture Global for the purchase of LNG from the United States. The import volume will amount to 0.7 bcm per year starting from 2030. The contract term is 20 years, through 2050.
