DTEK can become the manager of Belarusian drilling rigs and other property

Oil and Gas Energy LLC, which is part of DTEK and is owned by Rinat Akhmetov (according to the Youcontrol portal), won the competitive selection of managers of seized assets of Service Oil LLC, which is a subsidiary of Belorusneft. This was reported by the Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) in response to ExPro's request.

Until December 12, 2022, two companies expressed their desire to participate in the competitive selection: Oil and Gas Energy LLC and Spetsmekhservice LLC. State production companies did not participate in the competition. After reviewing the submitted documents, on December 22, 2022, Oil and Gas Energy LLC was chosen as the winner.

The list of assets of the Belarusian company includes 4 drilling rigs with all components and aggregates (two Drillmec 1500 HP, TD200, and BENTEC ESTA III – 450 T-ST-AC), Fidmash coiled tubing rigs, vehicles, pipes, documentation, tools, and other with a total estimated value UAH 901.3 million.

Currently, measures are being taken to assess assets and ensure the review of the property assessment report in accordance with the tripartite agreement concluded on February 22, 2023. After the assessment is completed, ARMA can conclude a contract with the winner of the manager competition - Oil and Gas Energy LLC.

According to ARMA, as of March 13, 2023, the management contract with Oil and Gas Energy LLC had not been concluded.

One may remind, the experts saw the state-owned Ukrgazvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta as candidates for the competition for the appointment of the equipment manager of the Belarusian company.
