Donbasenergo and DTEK plan 2.9 mil ton antracite from Russia in 2019
Donbasenergo, energy generating company, and DTEK plan to import 2.885 mil ton antracite from Russia in 2019. This is mentioned in the FY2019 Projected Structure of Fuel Supplies for TPPs and CHPP released by the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine (MECIU).
MECIU is planning that 1 mil ton of antracite for Krivorizska TPP (DTEK), 1.265 mil ton of antracite for Lugansk TPP (DTEK), and 620 thousand ton of antracite for Sloviansk TPP (Donbasenergo).
In total, over the upcoming year 3.816 mil tons of antracite are planned as imports from Russia. These imports include 931 thousand ton for Ukrainian CHPPs, namely 402 thousand ton for Darnitsa CHPP (Evro-Reconstructia LLC), 94 thousand ton for Sumska CHPP (Sumyteploenergo), and 435 thousand ton for Chernigivska CHPP (Tehnova Firm LLC).
According to MECIU’s projection, FY2019 imports of antracite from Russia will take 81.7 % in the nationwide supply of antracite coals. In addition, Donbasenergo plans to import 418.4 thousand ton of antracite from the United States.
