Alpha Energy signs a memorandum with Halliburton on cooperation at Ichnyanska PSA
Alpha Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding with Halliburton, a leading oilfield services company, for the development (drilling and development) of the Ichnyanska area in the framework of the production sharing agreement (PSA) in Ukraine. This was reported by Alpha Energy - a subsidiary of York Energy - which won the PSA competition for the development of the Ichnyanska area (Chernihiv region) in April 2020.
The agreement provides for a works program including six appraisal and four exploration wells. The possibility of twelve additional appraisal wells, if necessary, is also considered. The scope of works includes the provision of all related services, management, and expert support, logistics operations, infrastructure, drilling rigs, materials, and other services. The estimated cost of services exceeds USD 100 million, including well development. Work should start after York Energy (Alpha Company) receives all the necessary approvals and permits in Ukraine.
